Our Story

Coffee is more than a drink. It is a reason to slow down, connect, and be present.

Ape Coffee began with that belief. We wanted to create a café for the little moments, with thoughtfully made drinks as the medium.

Our name found its meaning only after the doors opened and the café began to take on a life of its own. We learned our regulars' names, and they learned ours. Then it clicked:

A.P.E. = Appreciate People Everywhere.

We didn't build the café around the idea. Instead, we found it already living in the space.

The people behind the bar. The people in front of it. The neighbors who made the new shop feel like home. And the farmers who grew what's in your cup.

We chose the name before we knew what it would come to mean. Now, it is inseparable from the people who made this place what it is.

Thoughtful craft

We craft each drink with intention and care, paying attention to the small details that bring out the best in every cup.

Because coffee responds to changes in temperature and humidity, our baristas adjust the grind throughout the day, checking extractions and tasting regularly to ensure every drink reflects the standard we set before it reaches you.

Craft also means taking responsibility for what we serve. If your drink does not feel right, please let us know. We will always be happy to make it right.

Thoughtful ingredients

Every signature drink begins with the same direction: use natural ingredients, prepare key elements in-house, and make sure it tastes good.

We look for ingredients that feel familiar, balanced, and a little unexpected. Our Monkey Business latte, for example, pairs honey with a banana cream made in-house by blending real bananas, creating a drink that is distinctly Ape.

From the coffee we source to the ingredients we prepare each day, everything is chosen intentionally to create a cup with personality.

Thoughtful hospitality

We believe a café should offer more than good coffee. It should make people feel welcome, remembered, and cared for.

That can be as simple as learning your name, remembering your usual order, or taking the time to understand what you are in the mood for. Some guests come in for a quiet start to the morning, while others stay for conversation, work, or a pause in their day. However you spend your time with us, our role is to make it feel considered and welcome.

For us, hospitality is care made visible through the small gestures that help every person feel appreciated.
